Virginia Carol Olivarez, 61, of Mexia, passed away October 12, 2013 near Mart, Texas. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2013 at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo, Texas with Pastor Ralph Hale officiating. Visitation with the family will be 9-11 a.m., Friday at Steward Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo. Carol was born August 30, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas to J. D. and Helen Jordan. She went to high school at Azle High School in Azle, TX and graduated in 1970. She live in Mexia from the mid 1980's until the time of her passing. Carol worked at Wal-Mart, the Mexia State School and Check'n Go. She enjoyed antiquing for elephants, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, J. D. Jordan, and joined by her mother, Helen Jordan. Carol is survived by her husband, Arturo Olivarez of Mexia; son, Jason Ballew of Austin; daughter, Meghan Olivarez of Austin; and sisters, Sandra Fouquet of Houston, Marilyn Fraser of Pipe Creek and Sharon Davis of Dayton.
