Funeral services for Wayne Alan Curry, 62, of Mexia will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008 in Blair-Stubbs in Mexia. Rev. Chet Brake will officiate with interment to follow in the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery, Navarro County. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday night at the Funeral Home. Mr. Curry was born on December 19, 1945 in England to Albury and Hazel Curry and passed away May 8, 2008 in Providence Hospital in Waco. He was area manager for Hanson Aggregates and served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He moved from Amarillo to Mexia in 1979 to be the Superintendent for D. P. Frost Construction at the rock crushing plant west of Mexia and continued employment with subsequent owners. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Curry of Mexia; sons, Chris Curry and wife, Belinda of Corsicana and Robert (Bobby) Sacco of Eagle Pass; grandchildren, Gage Curry and Macee Curry of Corsicana; brothers, Donnie Curry of Brandywine, Maryland and Dale Curry of Thorndale; sister, Lorraine King of Thorndale. Pallbearers will be Ray Fleet, Bruce Bates, Bill Bates, Anthony Farris, John Carlson, Jr. and McKinley Murkledove. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cyril Farris and Ray Jones.
