Weldon Williams

Funeral services for Weldon "Pete" Williams, 93 of Pt. Enterprise will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006 in Pt. Enterprise Baptist Church, with Rev. James Herrington and Rev. Bruce Rudd officiating. Interment will follow in Pt. Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday night at Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia. Mr. Williams was born on April 20, 1913 in Pt. Enterprise to Tom and Sara Elizabeth McGee Williams and passed away on July 14 in a Mexia nursing home. He was blade operator for the Texas Highway Department for 30 years and member of the Pt. Enter- prise Baptist Church. He was married to Delilah Belle Wright on October 28, 1933 and she preceded him in death in March 2003. Survivors are his daughter, Shirley Hill of Waco, son, Larry Williams of Hempstead. 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and sisters: Eunice Douglas of San Marcos and Jessie Goodwin of Corsicana. Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Rodney Williams, Jeffery Hill, Kevin Hill, Brian Arnold and Tommy Goodwin.
