Funeral services for Welton Ray (Bunk) Cockrell, Jr. 60 of Mexia will be 4 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006 in First Baptist Church, Mexia. Rev. Marcus Sheffield, Pastor, will officiate with interment following in Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday night at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Mr. Cockrell was born October 27, 1945 in Mexia to Welton Ray Cockrell, Sr. and Ruby Edna Myers Cockrell and passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 19. He was a retired insurance agent and member of First Baptist Church In Mexia. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Cockrell, Daughter, Stacey Nicole Kuehn and husband, Matthew Kuehn, and son, Matthew Cockrell and wife, Tonya Cockrell, all of Mexia, grandchildren: Gentry Renfro and Gage Kuehn, brother; David Cockrell of Mexia and his special 6 pack: Shane, Trent, Luke, Olivia, Natalie, and Lacey Frederick, cousin, Robert Myers and uncle, G. L. Myers. Pallbearers will be Joe Russo, Gary Griffin, Ronnie Keys, Doug Hooks, Troy Miller And Michael Rusnak. .
