William Sandifer

William Wayne "Bill" Sandifer, 46, of Mexia passed away November 26, 2010 at his home in Mexia. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Bryan Hallmark officiating. Bill was born September 2, 1964 in Mexia, Texas. He was a very successful self-employed general contractor. He was extremely talented in many fields. His skills included, but were not limited to metal-forming, woodworking, mechanics, furniture making, crafts, stained glass, welding and masonry. His signature mark was to include a Texas star or horseshoe in most everything he made. He enjoyed collecting antiquities, his favorite being ones with western themes. Bill was always willing to selflessly help friends and neighbors. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, sticking with them even when all hope seemed lost. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley and wife, Roxanne; father, Jimmy Sandifer and wife, Linda of Mexia; mother, Linda Martin of Teague; sisters, Brandy Herring and husband, Willie of Mexia and Kristie Griffin and husband, Jarrod of Magnolia; brother Keith Sandifer of Waco; and numerous other relatives and close friends. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Clint May.
